Student Advisory Councils:
Student Voice Helps Shape
the Pennridge Experience
In its second year, Pennridge continued to
strengthen student voice through Elementary,
Middle School, and High School Student Advisory
Councils. These meetings gave students the chance
to speak directly with district leaders about what is
working well, what students need more of, and how
the district can continue to improve the school experience
across all grade levels.
Students shared thoughtful feedback about school culture,
belonging, communication, activities, mental health,
academic support, and the importance of feeling connected
to their schools. Their comments helped highlight the value
of listening to students not only when decisions are being
made, but throughout the school year as programs, events,
and priorities continue to develop.
At the secondary level, students also expressed strong
interest in future-ready opportunities, including expanded
college and career pathways, internship and co-op
experiences, dual enrollment options, AP support, leadership
opportunities, and more real-world learning connected to
life after graduation.
The Student Advisory Councils remind us that students are
not only the reason for our work; they are also important
partners in helping shape it. When students are invited to
