Big Step for Little Learners:
Pennridge Launches Full-Day Kindergarten Pilot
The pilot is designed to enhance school readiness,
strengthen foundational academic skills, and support
social–emotional growth through extended
instructional time. By offering full-day programming,
Pennridge joins a growing number of school districts
across Pennsylvania and the country that prioritize
early learning as a cornerstone of long-term student
success.
Superintendent Dr. Angelo Berrios included the
initiative as part of the district’s broader strategic
goals, emphasizing that early access, equity, and
enrichment are critical to preparing students for a
successful academic journey. Families participating in
the pilot will help inform the district’s future plans for
expanding full-day kindergarten across all elementary
schools.
Honoring Veterans: Pennridge Hosts 36th Annual Upper Bucks Veterans Day Ceremony
In November 2024, hundreds of sixth-grade students from
across the district as well as all Upper Bucks schools joined
nearly 100 local veterans for the 36th Annual Veterans Day
ceremony at Pennridge High School.
The program included patriotic music, flag ceremonies, and
honored veterans from all branches and all wars and conflicts
including a WWII veteran who was awarded his high school
diploma on-site.
Superintendent Berrios, himself a Marine veteran, said,
